Latvia's Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB), which oversees the conduct of the pre-election campaign, has issued four warnings related to unauthorized campaign agitation.

According to the bureau, residents have shown active interest in the campaign and are regularly reporting cases in which candidates take part in various public events. At the same time, voters have expressed concerns and suspicions that some candidates may be using administrative resources during the campaign — meaning advantages tied to their current office, or state and municipal resources, to promote their own candidacies.

KNAB says it continues to monitor the situation and review the complaints submitted by residents, with the aim of ensuring that the pre-election campaign complies with legal requirements and that all candidates compete on equal terms.
