Anti-corruption bureau receives 20 reports of possible campaigning violations by noon
Latvia's Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) received 20 reports of possible pre-election campaigning violations by noon on the day of the 15th Saeima elections. Most reports concerned free social media communication by candidates.

Latvia's Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) received 20 reports from residents by noon on Saturday about possible campaign materials displayed in public spaces and other potential violations of the Pre-election Campaigning Law, during the day of the 15th Saeima elections.
Most reports linked to social media
According to KNAB, the majority of the reports concerned free communication on social media by candidates for deputy and other individuals, including calls urging people to vote. The bureau clarified that such calls to participate in the elections on election day are permitted under the law and do not by themselves constitute a violation.
KNAB said it continues to assess all reports received and to monitor compliance with pre-election campaigning rules throughout election day.
Voter turnout
By noon, including residents who had already cast their ballots for safekeeping on previous days, 25.4% of eligible voters in Latvia had cast their vote. In total, 1,557,615 people are eligible to vote in the 15th Saeima elections, both in Latvia and abroad. Polling stations across Latvia were open on Saturday from 8:00 to 20:00.
