Colombia's men's football team secured their second win in the 2026 World Cup on Tuesday, beating DR Congo 1-0. The only goal came in the 76th minute when Daniel Munjoz struck from inside the box after a pass from Juan Kintero, with the ball deflecting into the net. Munjoz had a goal disallowed for offside early in the first half, and DR Congo goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi-Nzau made several saves to keep the score level. In stoppage time, DR Congo had chances to equalize, but Camilo Vargas denied their attempts.

In Group K, Colombia leads with six points from two matches, followed by Portugal with four, DR Congo with one, and Uzbekistan with none. Portugal earlier defeated Uzbekistan 5-0.

This is the first World Cup with 48 teams, co-hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The 48 teams are divided into 12 groups, with the top two from each group and the eight best third-placed teams advancing to the knockout stage. The group phase ends on June 27, with knockout matches starting June 28. Semifinals are scheduled for July 14 and 15, the bronze medal match on July 18, and the final on July 19. Argentina are the defending champions, having won in 2022.
