Conference League draw pairs Riga FC with Bergamo's Atalanta and Kaunas' Žalgiris
At the UEFA draw held in Monaco, Latvian champions Riga FC learned their Conference League group-stage opponents, including Italy's Atalanta and Lithuania's Žalgiris.

The draw for the UEFA Europa League and Conference League league phases took place in Monaco on Friday, and among the clubs learning their opponents was Latvian champion Riga FC.
This season Riga FC has, for the first time in the club's history, made it all the way through the European qualifying rounds, earning a place in the Conference League league phase itself.
Opponents include an Italian giant and a Baltic rival
The draw revealed that one of Riga FC's opponents will be Atalanta, the well-known club from Bergamo, Italy, which will travel to Riga for the fixture.
The draw also produced a Baltic derby, pairing Riga FC against Žalgiris of Kaunas, meaning fans can look forward to a meeting between a Latvian and a Lithuanian club.
Further details on Riga FC's remaining opponents and the match schedule are expected soon, but it is already clear that the club will face both a strong Western European opponent and a regional rival in this season's European competition.
