The team, coached by Adrián Guľa, played out a goalless 0:0 draw away against Faroese club Klaksvik in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League play-off round.
Return leg set for Riga
The second, decisive leg between the two clubs will take place a week from now, on August 27, in Riga. The winner of this tie will advance to the main stage of the Conference League.
The scoreless result away from home leaves Riga FC's prospects open, as they now have the chance to settle the tie on home soil in front of their own supporters.
