Nearly 200 combat engagements on front since start of day
Since the morning of July 16, 199 combat engagements have occurred on the front. Russia launched intensive strikes using missiles, guided bombs, and drones.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 10:00 PM on July 16, there had been 199 combat engagements since the start of the day. The aggressor carried out one missile strike using eight missiles, 54 air strikes employing 171 guided aerial bombs, launched 6,076 kamikaze drones, and conducted 2,041 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements.
The attacks were concentrated in several directions. In the North-Slobozhansk direction, 15 assaults were recorded; Kupiansk – 1; Lyman – 9; Sloviansk – 23; Kramatorsk – 1; Kostiaintynivka – 16; Pokrovsk – 25; Oleksandrivsk – 2; Huliaipole – 14; and Orikhiv – 8. Ukrainian forces defended against all attacks, but the situation remains tense.
