Kozlova and Junele Fail to Advance from European Championship Group Stage
Latvian fencers Laura Kozlova and Jekaterina Junele did not progress beyond the group stage at the European Fencing Championships, with Kozlova winning one bout and Junele losing all.

At the European Fencing Championships in Antony, France, Latvian fencers Laura Kozlova and Jekaterina Junele failed to advance past the group stage. Kozlova won one out of six bouts, finishing tied for 56th place among 62 competitors, while Junele lost all her bouts and placed 61st.
Earlier on Tuesday, in men's epee, Daniils Zamkovojs finished 72nd and Glebs Čaikovskis tied for 98th place. On Thursday, women's epee competition will feature this year's European and world junior champion Sofija Prošina and Anna Marija Orlova.
The championship in Antony runs until Sunday. Initially scheduled to be held in Estonia, the event was moved after Estonia failed to provide visa guarantees for Russian and Belarusian athletes.
