Krape manor, located in Ogre municipality on the bank of the Lobe river, has become a hub for an active local business community. Four entrepreneurs have set up small businesses there and now cooperate with one another to develop tourism in the area.
Fish farming and herbal elixirs
One of the businesses on site is the Krape water mill, run by Jānis Baltačs and Vineta Grīnberga. They raise fish and also produce elixirs made from meadow plants.
A tourism experience
Beyond their production activities, the owners of the Krape water mill also offer visitors a tourism experience. Guests can taste crepes made on the premises and enjoy a countryside salt spa treatment.
