Latvian forward Renārs Krastenbergs played a key role in the victory, scoring two goals within a five-minute span in the middle of the second period, helping the home team turn a 0:1 deficit into a 2:1 lead. This marks Krastenbergs' second preseason friendly of the preparation period, and he has scored in both, netting four goals in total so far.

In Switzerland, top-league club SCL Tigers from Langnau defeated second-league side Chur 5:3 in a friendly match. The game featured two Latvian players facing each other — forward Oskars Lapinskis, on the winning side, did not register any points, while defenseman Sandis Smons, playing for the losing team, recorded an assist.
Meanwhile in Poland, defenseman Ernests Ošenieks also picked up an assist, helping his club Bytom secure a 5:0 win over a team from Kraków.
