Wales manager Craig Bellamy has addressed speculation linking him with a managerial move elsewhere. Speaking before a 1-1 draw with Ghana in Cardiff on 2 June, Bellamy said: "Everything's in place, I get completely backed and it's going to give me the opportunity in the next two years to improve again." He acknowledged the links but stressed he is focused on his current role. "I love what I have here," he added.

Bellamy expressed gratitude to the Football Association of Wales for giving him his first managerial opportunity despite his lack of experience. "Wales gave me this opportunity and one or two might not have because I was conscious I haven't managed before," he said. He admitted ambition and desire to earn money but insisted now is not the right time to leave.

Prior to the June international camp, FAW officials told BBC Sport Wales they were "very confident" Bellamy would honour his contract, which runs until the end of Euro 2028.
