Kreišs Takes Second in Pole Vault in Germany, Lasmane Eighth in Belgium
Latvian pole vaulter Kreišs secured second place in Germany, while triple jumper Lasmane finished eighth in Belgium.

Latvian pole vaulter Kreišs placed second at a competition in Germany on Sunday. He cleared 5.50 and 5.60 meters on his first attempts, and 5.70 meters on his third. However, he failed to clear 5.82 meters in all three attempts. The winner was German athlete Lita Kanda, who managed the height.
Meanwhile, Latvian triple jumper Rūta Kate Lasmane started her summer season at the "Meeting of Nivelles 2026" in Belgium. Her best jump was 13.30 meters, achieved on her first attempt. Subsequent jumps were 13.02, 12.96, 13.22, and two fouls. This placed her eighth. Belgium's Ilona Masona won with 14.26 meters.
