Latvian athlete Kreišs competed in a pole vault event in Germany, finishing eighth among ten participants.
Kreišs successfully cleared 5.52 meters on his first attempt and then cleared 5.62 meters on his third attempt. However, he failed three attempts at 5.72 meters, which prevented him from climbing higher in the standings.
Four vaulters managed to clear 5.72 meters. Australian Kurtis Marschall took first place by clearing that height on his first attempt. American Sam Kendricks finished second, German Lita Kanda was third, and American Casey Lightfoot placed fourth.
