Russia attacks Romny community in Sumy region with nine drones, woman killed

Russian armed forces carried out a drone attack on the Romny territorial community in Ukraine's Sumy region on the evening of Wednesday, August 26. The strike killed a woman and left several others injured, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration.

The attack

According to Hryhorov, nine unmanned aerial vehicles were directed at the community. Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down some of the drones, but others reached their targets, striking civilian infrastructure facilities.
