Police in Ukraine's Chernihiv region reported that on the morning of September 12, Russian forces attacked the city of Nizhyn using two attack drones. The strike damaged a warehouse that stored food supplies.

The attack also damaged private homes, outbuildings and vehicles belonging to local residents. Police said no information about casualties has come in so far.

Evidence being gathered

Officers are documenting the aftermath of the strike and collecting evidence for the investigation of war crimes.

Earlier, the Chernihiv regional military administration and Ukraine's Air Force had reported dozens of attack drones over the region around the same time, with air defence units working to intercept them.

Separately, the number of people injured in a Russian strike on the Odesa region, which also occurred on September 12, has risen to 35, including a five-month-old infant. Two more people remain out of contact.
