Russia strikes Izium with guided bombs, one injured, homes and power lines damaged

Russian forces hit the city of Izium in Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs on Sunday evening, injuring one person and damaging houses and electricity infrastructure.

Russian forces struck the city of Izium in Ukraine's Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs on Sunday evening at around 10 p.m., the city's military administration reported.

The strikes hit several locations in the western part of the city. One impact landed on a road surface, while another sparked a fire at a utility building. In total, more than ten private houses and several vehicles were damaged, along with the local power grid.

One person injured

According to the military administration, one person was injured in the attack and is receiving the necessary medical assistance.

Repeated attacks on the city

This is not the first recent strike on Izium — on August 18, an earlier Russian attack on the city injured five people, including a child.
