Russia destroys another Avrora chain warehouse in Kyiv Oblast
A Russian strike on 31 August destroyed another distribution centre of the Avrora multimarket chain in Kyiv Oblast, with no employees injured. It marks the third such attack on the chain's facilities within a month.
Russian forces struck and destroyed another distribution centre belonging to the Avrora multimarket chain in Kyiv Oblast on 31 August, according to Taras Panasenko, co-founder of the chain, who shared the news on Facebook.
Panasenko said all employees were sheltering at the time of the strike and none were harmed. He added that further details about the consequences of the attack would be shared later.
The company has not yet disclosed the extent of the material damage or how the loss of the facility might affect its broader operations.
Third strike on the chain this month
This is the third reported Russian attack on Avrora infrastructure in August. On the morning of 27 August, another of the chain's distribution centres in Kyiv Oblast was destroyed in a Russian strike, again without any injuries to staff.
Earlier, on 22 August, Russian forces attacked an Avrora distribution centre in Poltava Oblast, striking the site a second time while emergency responders were still working there. The warehouses were destroyed and vehicles belonging to Ukraine's State Emergency Service were damaged.
