Russia's Interior Ministry has put Meduza journalist Vladislav Gorin, host of the podcast "Chto sluchilos" ("What Happened"), on its wanted list, independent outlet Mediazona reported.

The move follows news that emerged in June that Russian authorities had opened a criminal case against Gorin under the article of the Criminal Code covering participation in the activities of an "undesirable organization" (Part 1 of Article 284.1).

Case built on six recordings

According to Russia's Investigative Committee, the case rests on six audio recordings published between August and November 2025. Investigators claim that in these recordings Gorin "distributed informational materials about political and social processes taking place in the Russian Federation."

Meduza, one of the largest independent Russian-language news outlets, has been designated an "undesirable organization" in Russia since 2021 and operates in exile. Several of its journalists have faced criminal prosecution in Russia in recent years.
