Russian forces carried out a large-scale drone attack on Ukraine overnight between 13 and 14 September, deploying 108 drones, according to Ukraine's Air Force. The barrage included Shahed-type drones — some of them jet-powered — Gerbera attack drones, and Parodiya decoy UAVs.

Early reports indicated that by 08:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or electronically jammed 85 of the drones launched in the attack.

Impact and response

Hits from the aerial assault were recorded at seven separate locations. Ukraine's defence forces used a range of assets to repel the attack, including aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups.

The Air Force noted that the attack was still ongoing as of the report, with several Russian drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace. No further details on casualties or the extent of damage at the seven affected locations were disclosed in the official update.
