Russia attacks Ukraine with 144 air assets: Ukraine downs 5 ballistic missiles and 104 drones

Russian forces launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine on July 25-26, using 7 ballistic missiles, 1 cruise missile, and 136 drones. Ukrainian air defenses shot down or jammed 5 ballistic missiles, 1 cruise missile, and 104 drones.

On the night of July 25-26, Russian troops conducted a large-scale aerial attack on Ukraine, employing various strike assets. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the attack involved seven Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, one Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missile, and 136 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as Parodiya decoy drones.

As of 08:30, preliminary reports indicate that air defense forces had shot down or jammed one Kh-59/69 missile, five Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 104 UAVs. Hits from two ballistic missiles and 27 strike UAVs were recorded at 18 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at seven locations.

The aerial defense was conducted by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces. The attack is still ongoing, with Russian UAVs remaining in the airspace.
