Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 160 unmanned aerial vehicles on 10 October, according to information from the Ukrainian Air Force. More than half of the drones were jet-powered Shahed-type aircraft. The assault is part of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, and it has not yet ended.

As of the latest report, Ukraine's air defence has destroyed 117 of the 160 drones. Among those downed are 82 jet-powered Shaheds, which are faster than conventional drone models and therefore harder to intercept.

Strikes at 14 locations

Despite the number of drones shot down, some of them reached their targets: hits were recorded at 14 locations. The source does not specify which places were affected, what damage was caused or whether there were casualties.

The attack is officially reported as continuing, so the final figures on drones downed and hits recorded may change once data covering the entire attack is compiled.

The numbers show that jet-powered drones made up the majority of this attack: of 160 aircraft, 82 jet-powered Shaheds were shot down, while the total number downed stands at 117. That means 43 drones were not destroyed, based on the data currently available.
