Russia loses 1,390 troops in a day, total losses exceed 1.49 million
Ukraine's General Staff reports 1,390 Russian occupiers neutralized over the past 24 hours, bringing Russia's total personnel losses since the war began to nearly 1.49 million.

Ukraine's Defense Forces neutralized 1,390 Russian invading troops over the past day, according to the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces. Russia's total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, through September 2 of this year have surpassed 1,491,030 soldiers.
Equipment losses
The General Staff also reported updated figures for other military equipment losses. Russia has lost 12,324 tanks (up by 4), 25,263 armored combat vehicles (+6), 49,016 artillery systems (+62), and 2,081 multiple rocket launcher systems (+2).
Additionally, 1,598 air defense systems (+1), 2,464 ground robotic systems (+12), 494,146 operational-tactical level drones (+1,969), and 5,070 cruise missiles (+10) have been destroyed.
The losses also include 142,715 vehicles and fuel tankers (+383), as well as 4,625 units of special equipment (+2).
The General Staff notes that the figures are being verified and may be revised.
