Russian forces continued their assault on Ukraine on Thursday, striking a market in the Sumy region and carrying out 997 recorded strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region. Civilian casualties were also reported in the Kharkiv region and in Donbas as a result of ongoing attacks.

On the other side, Ukrainian forces struck targets inside Russian territory. Drones hit a warehouse belonging to online retailer Wildberries in Yekaterinburg, setting it on fire. This is not the first such incident, as other Wildberries facilities have previously been damaged in similar attacks.

In occupied Crimea, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system valued at approximately 15 million US dollars.

Poll shows drop in support for Zelensky

According to a recent poll, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would currently lose if presidential elections were held now. The war, which has continued for more than three years, appears to be weighing on public sentiment in the country.

The situation along the front line and in border regions remains tense, with Sumy, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions regularly coming under Russian attack, while Ukraine continues to carry out retaliatory strikes on military and economic targets inside Russia.
