Russia strikes energy infrastructure in Mykolaiv, causing partial blackout

Russian forces carried out a strike on energy infrastructure in the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv in the evening, causing a partial power outage in the regional center.

The information was reported by Heorhii Reshetilov, acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration. According to him, the enemy attacked the city's energy facilities in the evening, leaving several districts of the regional center partially without electricity.

Repairs to begin once security situation allows

The official said that power engineers will begin restoration work as soon as the security situation permits. No specific timeline has yet been given for when electricity will be fully restored across the affected areas.

Detailed information about the extent of the damage and the number of infrastructure facilities affected has not yet been made public. Mykolaiv, located close to the front line, has long faced regular Russian air attacks targeting both military and civilian infrastructure.
