Russia and Ukraine trade strikes: Zaporizhzhia and Novorossiysk targeted
Over the past day, Russia continued attacks on Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, while Ukrainian drones struck the city of Novorossiysk in Russia's Krasnodar region.

Fighting between Russia and Ukraine continues with strikes exchanged on both sides' territory. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces kept up their attacks on Ukraine's southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, which has long been one of the most active zones of the conflict.
Strike on Russian territory
At the same time, Ukraine carried out a drone attack on Novorossiysk, a city in Russia's Krasnodar region on the Black Sea coast. Novorossiysk, an important port city, has been targeted by Ukrainian drone strikes on multiple occasions before.
With strikes being exchanged on both sides, the war has now continued for more than four years. Both sides regularly conduct attacks on each other's territory — Russia mainly targeting populated areas and infrastructure in Ukraine, while Ukraine targets military and industrial facilities in Russia, including ports and oil refining enterprises.
