Russia launches 107 drones at Ukraine, air defence downs 87
Russia fired 107 drones at Ukraine overnight, most of them jet-powered Shahed-type attack drones. Ukrainian air defence shot down 87 of them, but strikes and debris were recorded in 15 locations.

Russian forces carried out another large-scale drone attack on Ukraine overnight, launching 107 unmanned aerial vehicles. The majority were jet-powered Shahed-type strike drones, though the attack also included "Herbera"-type drones as well as decoy drones designed to mislead air defence systems and deplete their resources.
Ukraine's air defence forces managed to intercept and destroy 87 of the drones used in the attack. However, not all of the aerial vehicles were neutralised before reaching their targets or were shot down too late to prevent consequences on the ground.
According to available information, direct hits or falling drone debris were recorded in 15 different locations. Detailed information about damage, casualties or the specific areas affected has not yet been released.
Such combined drone attacks, which mix genuine strike drones with decoys, have become a recurring Russian tactic aimed at overwhelming Ukraine's air defence systems and increasing the likelihood that some drones reach their intended targets.
