Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia has conducted one of the largest ballistic attacks on the capital city of Kyiv. The attack involved more than 40 missiles of various types, most of which were aimed at Kyiv, as well as 120 combat drones.

According to Zelensky, the attack resulted in one death and 16 injuries in Kyiv and the surrounding region. All wounded are receiving necessary medical care. Rescue operations are ongoing at three locations, involving nearly 600 rescuers. Rescue services are also working in the Odesa region.

The President stated that this week alone, Russia has used approximately 1,450 combat drones, more than 1,640 guided aerial bombs, and 99 various missiles against Ukraine. Injuries were reported in the Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions, and damage was recorded in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

Zelensky noted that Russian attacks this week also targeted the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions. He emphasized that defense against ballistic missiles is Ukraine's constant and main priority, and interceptors are needed every day. He thanked partners who provide anti-missile defense supplies, stating that these supplies literally save lives during each massive Russian attack. He also called for continued pressure on Russia, warning that delaying new decisions allows Moscow to plan further attacks and evade sanctions.
