Russia carried out a large-scale missile attack on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Tuesday, killing at least 11 people and injuring approximately 60 others. The attack involved ballistic missiles, and Ukrainian air defense systems were unable to shoot down any of them.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded by calling on international partners to urgently provide additional air defense systems and missiles to protect civilians from future strikes. He emphasized that such attacks demonstrate Russia's intent to continue targeting Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed the strike was aimed at Kyiv's defense industry enterprises, though no independent verification has been provided.

On the diplomatic front, former U.S. President Donald Trump plans to meet with President Zelenskyy on July 8 during the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey. This meeting could influence the future of Western support for Ukraine.
