Russia's 2026 defence spending to approach $200 billion
Russia's defence spending is expected to near 17 trillion rubles by the end of 2026, about 40% more than originally planned. Bloomberg reports this, citing two sources close to the government.

Russia's budget spending on defence this year could reach almost 17 trillion rubles. That equals roughly 199 billion US dollars, or 178 billion euros.
The news agency Bloomberg says the sum would be about 40% higher than originally planned. Its information comes from two sources close to the Russian government, whose names have not been given.
