Russian army strikes Kharkiv region village with cluster missiles
Russian forces hit the village of Shevchenkove in Kharkiv region with cluster-type missiles, killing one person and injuring eight others.
Russian occupation forces launched an attack using cluster-type missiles on the village of Shevchenkove in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region on July 21. According to Serhii Starikov, head of the Shevchenkove military administration, the strike occurred at 7:00 PM local time, resulting in one fatality and eight injuries.
Starikov stated that the Russian army used multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) with cluster warheads to target a densely populated neighborhood of two-story apartment buildings. The attack damaged more than ten buildings.
This assault comes a day after Russian forces attacked the city of Sumy on the evening of July 20, hitting a high-rise residential building and a shopping center. That incident left two adults and four children injured.
