Firefighter killed, two rescuers injured in Russian double-tap strike on Zaporizhzhia Oblast
A firefighter was killed and two other State Emergency Service workers were injured after Russian forces carried out a repeat strike in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine's Interior Minister said.
Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia Oblast with a so-called "double-tap" attack, killing a firefighter and injuring two other State Emergency Service workers, Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi reported.
According to Vyhivskyi, firefighter Oleksandr Prodan was killed in the repeat strike, which took place roughly two hours before the minister's announcement.
The two injured emergency workers were urgently taken to hospital, though further details on their condition have not been disclosed.
