Russian drone strikes Ukrainian online marketplace Rozetka warehouse: one worker dead, seven injured

A Russian jet-powered drone attack on a Rozetka warehouse in Kyiv Oblast killed one worker and injured seven. The total number of injured in the region on August 1 rose to nine, with one fatality.

On the morning of August 1, Russian forces struck a warehouse in Kyiv Oblast belonging to Rozetka, a Ukrainian online marketplace, using a jet-powered drone. The attack killed one worker, Volodymyr Melnychenko, and left seven others hospitalized, with one in serious condition.

The company's co-founder, Iryna Chechotkina, wrote on Facebook that 270 employees were present at the warehouse at the time of the attack. She expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and said the company would provide medical, psychological, and material support to the injured and their relatives. "Sadly, nothing can bring a person back to life. All our thoughts and condolences are with his family," Chechotkina stated.

Chechotkina also said the company will continue operations and restore the warehouse. According to reports, the number of people injured as a result of Russian attacks on Kyiv Oblast on August 1 has increased to nine, with one person killed.
