Russia Launches 135 Drones Against Ukraine; 118 Shot Down
Ukraine's air defense neutralized 118 out of 135 Russian drones overnight, with hits recorded on 11 locations. The attack continues into the morning of June 23.

From the evening of June 22, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or suppressed 118 of the 135 drones launched by Russia in an attack against Ukraine, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 8:00 a.m. on June 23, 118 enemy drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas, were downed or neutralized in the northern, southern, and eastern parts of the country. Strikes from 13 attack drones were recorded at 11 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at three additional sites.
The drones were launched from Russian cities Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Millerovo. Ukrainian air defense assets involved included aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups.
The attack remains ongoing as of the morning of June 23, with several Russian drones still in Ukrainian airspace.
