A woman was killed and three people were injured when a Russian drone struck a residential building in Zaporizhzhia on Monday morning, sparking a fire.

On Monday, June 22, a Russian drone attack targeted the city of Zaporizhzhia, resulting in casualties and a fire. Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that a drone hit a private residential area in the regional center, causing a house to catch fire. Initially, Fedorov stated that according to preliminary information from the Regional Military Administration, three people had been injured. He also mentioned that a woman was still inside the burning house. Later in the day, Fedorov updated the situation, confirming that the woman had died. "Unfortunately, the death of the woman who was in the house destroyed by the enemy drone has been confirmed," Fedorov said. The attack highlights the ongoing Russian assaults on civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian cities. Emergency services responded to the scene to extinguish the fire and provide aid to the wounded. The incident is under investigation.
