Russian drone strike injures two in Kyiv Oblast house fire
An overnight Russian drone attack on the Bucha district in Kyiv Oblast injured two people and sparked a fire at a residential house. Both victims were hospitalized.
A Russian drone attack struck a house in the Bucha district of Kyiv Oblast overnight on 28-29 September, injuring two people and causing a fire, according to Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Emergency Service.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that emergency workers in Kyiv Oblast rescued two people following the attack, and both were taken to hospital.
Damage and firefighting response
The drone strike ignited a fire at a residential house and also set the roof of a neighbouring building ablaze. Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, which spread across an area of more than 300 square metres. A roof was destroyed in the incident.
Wider situation in Kyiv
Throughout the night and into the morning of 29 September, Kyiv remained under air-raid alerts, with a red-level warning for missile threats and a yellow-level warning for drones. Explosions were heard across the capital and fires broke out in the city as well.
