Overnight into August 22, Russian occupation forces attacked the village of Kushuhum in the Zaporizhzhia district with a drone. The strike killed one person and left four others injured.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported the attack, noting that the injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

Preceding attacks in the region

The strike follows a series of other Russian attacks on the Zaporizhzhia region in recent days. On August 21, Russian forces dropped a guided aerial bomb on the village of Komyshuvakha, killing a woman and injuring a man.

Also on August 21, a Russian drone struck a passenger minibus in the city of Zaporizhzhia, with preliminary reports indicating three people were affected.

With the latest strike on Kushuhum, the toll of civilian casualties in the region over the past two days continues to rise, reflecting the ongoing intensity of Russian strikes on populated areas in the Zaporizhzhia region.
