Russian drone strike damages High Council of Justice building in Kyiv, six injured
A Russian drone strike damaged the High Council of Justice's administrative building in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district, injuring six people. The Council said it is temporarily unable to operate.
An administrative building belonging to Ukraine's High Council of Justice was damaged in a Russian drone strike on Kyiv, according to Oleksandr Sazanovych, head of the city's Shevchenkivskyi District State Administration, who reported the attack on social media.
Sazanovych said six people are currently known to have been injured. Beyond the damage to the administrative building itself, windows were blown out in nearby residential buildings and several cars were damaged in the strike.
Council operations disrupted
The High Council of Justice confirmed that its building had sustained damage and said it is temporarily unable to carry out its work as a result.
State Emergency Service rescue teams, police officers and other emergency responders are currently working at the site. Officials say details about the full extent of the damage are still being confirmed and may be updated.
The strike is the latest in Russia's ongoing campaign of drone and missile attacks against Ukrainian cities, which has repeatedly hit civilian infrastructure and residential areas in the capital since the start of the full-scale invasion.
