Russian drones strike Sumy twice in one evening: woman killed, man injured
On the evening of September 20, Russian drones attacked Sumy twice, killing a woman and wounding her 41-year-old husband with shrapnel; a residential building, several cars and a school were also damaged.
Russian drones attacked the Ukrainian city of Sumy twice on the evening of September 20, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
He reported that two enemy drones struck near an apartment building. A woman was killed in the attack, while her 41-year-old husband suffered multiple shrapnel wounds. He was taken to hospital, where medics are providing the necessary care.
Building and cars damaged
The strikes damaged the residential building itself along with five cars parked nearby.
Second strike within the hour
The State Emergency Service of Sumy region later reported that less than an hour after the first strike, another enemy drone hit a civilian car, setting it on fire. Rescuers extinguished the blaze.
During the same period, Sumy also came under aerial attack. Russian forces damaged one of the city's educational institutions. Preliminary information indicates no one was injured in that strike.
