Russian drones strike Mykolaiv and Poltava oblasts, damaging petrol stations and industrial plant

Russian drone attacks on the morning of July 20 damaged two petrol stations in Mykolaiv and caused a fire at an industrial facility in Poltava Oblast. No casualties have been reported.

On the morning of July 20, Russian forces launched drone strikes against Mykolaiv and Poltava oblasts. According to the Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration, the attack involved Shahed and Gerbera drones. Two petrol station buildings were damaged and windows were blown out in a high-rise residential building in the city of Mykolaiv. No injuries were reported.

In Poltava Oblast, a Russian drone crashed onto the premises of a private industrial facility, sparking a fire that was quickly extinguished by firefighters from the State Emergency Service. Vitalii Diakivnych, Head of Poltava Oblast Military Administration, stated that as of now, emergency services have received no reports of casualties.

As background, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles and 94 drones of various types on the night of July 19-20. Ukrainian air defense forces downed 81 of the Russian UAVs.
