Russian forces attacked a passenger bus in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region on Tuesday using a drone, killing five people and injuring at least seven others.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional administration, Oleksandr Ganzha, reported the strike, saying the victims died at the scene while the injured are currently under medical supervision and receiving all necessary care.

Ganzha stressed that the strike was direct, with the drone hitting the scheduled bus carrying civilian passengers. Exact circumstances of the attack, including the bus route and the identities of those killed, have not yet been disclosed.

The incident is part of a broader Russian campaign of drone and missile strikes against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and residents, which has continued across the country for several years since the start of the full-scale invasion.
