Russian drones strike private housing area in Zaporizhzhia, two women injured
Russian drones hit a private housing district in Zaporizhzhia on the evening of August 27, damaging homes and injuring two women, in the third attack on the city and region that day.

Russian forces used drones on the evening of August 27 to strike a private housing area in Zaporizhzhia, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration. The attack damaged residential buildings and injured two women, who are now receiving all necessary medical assistance.
A day marked by repeated attacks
This was not the only incident in the region that day. Earlier in the morning, a Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia district killed a 78-year-old woman in the village of Hryhorivka.
During the day, two further attacks struck the city of Zaporizhzhia itself. In one, a Russian FPV drone hit a civilian car while it was driving in the middle of a road, injuring two people. In another, Russian forces shelled a business in the city, injuring a 54-year-old woman.
In total, the Zaporizhzhia region recorded several separate attacks that day affecting both civilians and infrastructure, with one confirmed death.
