Russian armed forces carried out a drone strike on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, overnight on September 16, using jet-propelled drones, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

In Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi District, falling drone debris ignited a warehouse fire. One person was injured in the blaze. Local authorities have not yet identified the warehouse's owner.

Train also hit

A passenger train traveling from Kyiv to Mykolaiv was also struck during the attack, Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) confirmed. The company said the train's crew and passengers had been evacuated beforehand, so no one was injured in that incident.

The full extent of the damage and further consequences of the strike were not immediately clear.
