Russian drone strike destroys major pharmaceutical warehouse in Ukraine
Russian drones struck one of Ukraine's largest specialized pharmaceutical warehouses in the Boryspil district near Kyiv on Thursday morning, sparking a fire and injuring one person.
A Russian drone attack has destroyed one of Ukraine's largest pharmaceutical goods warehouses, according to the management of the company Biocon, as confirmed to Forbes Ukraine.
The strike occurred on Thursday morning, when drones hit a Biocon-owned warehouse in the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region. The attack sparked a fire at the facility.
Forbes Ukraine reports that the affected warehouse is one of the largest specialized pharmaceutical storage facilities in all of Ukraine, suggesting the material losses could be considerable.
One person injured
Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv regional military administration, said one person was injured by shrapnel as a result of the Russian strike.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also reported on the incident, confirming that firefighting operations at the warehouse were still ongoing. Media outlets, including Kyiv Post, identified the facility as the Biocon warehouse, noting the potential for significant losses.
