Man wounded in Russian drone strike on Sumy Oblast market dies in hospital
An 82-year-old man who was severely wounded in a Russian drone strike on a market in the Bilopillia hromada, Sumy Oblast, has died in hospital. A total of 21 people were injured across the region in Russian attacks on 7 August.

An 82-year-old man who suffered multiple severe injuries in a Russian drone strike on a market in the Bilopillia hromada, Sumy Oblast, has died in hospital, according to Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration.
Hryhorov reported the man's death via Telegram, confirming he succumbed to the injuries sustained when a Russian drone struck people gathered at the market on the morning of 7 August.
Scale of the attacks
The strike on the Bilopillia market left 10 people wounded at the time. With this latest death, one of those victims has now succumbed to their injuries.
Across Sumy Oblast on 7 August, Russian attacks injured 21 people in total, including an eight-year-old boy, underscoring the continued impact of Russian strikes on civilians in the border region.
