Number injured in Russian drone strikes on Kyiv climbs to eight

The number of people injured in Russian drone attacks on Kyiv on 29 August has risen to eight, with a non-residential building in the Podilskyi district hit again.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the number of people injured in Russian drone strikes on the Ukrainian capital on 29 August has grown to eight. Three of the injured were taken to hospital by medics, while the rest received outpatient care or were treated at the scene.

At 17:48, the mayor said a non-residential building in Kyiv's Podilskyi district had been struck again. An air-raid alert had been in effect over the city earlier due to the threat of drone attacks.

Earlier developments

Earlier in the day, a drone came down in Kyiv's Obolonskyi district, damaging a café and killing a two-year-old girl. Another drone hit a non-residential building in the Podilskyi district. Klitschko had initially put the number of injured in the capital at five.
