New Casualties and Damage Reported Across Kyiv After Fresh Drone Strikes
Several districts of Kyiv reported fresh drone attack aftermath on Sunday evening, with people injured, fires breaking out and buildings damaged, following days of intensifying Russian strikes on the Ukrainian capital.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the city's military administration reported on Sunday evening that new drone strike consequences had been recorded in multiple districts of the Ukrainian capital. In the Dniprovskyi district, a drone hit an open area, injuring two people who received medical assistance. In the same district, drone debris fell onto the roof of a two-story non-residential building, sparking a fire.
In the Podilskyi district, falling debris ignited a grassy area, while a blast wave from a drone that crashed nearby on open ground shattered windows in several buildings. In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell in an open area near a store.
Days of continued attacks
These incidents followed earlier strikes on Kyiv during the same day, September 27. In the Solomianskyi district, a nighttime drone attack killed one man and caused fires in two non-residential buildings. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, three people were injured, including two 16-year-old children.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian forces struck a data center in Kyiv twice on the morning of September 27. Later that day, an enemy drone hit a four-story administrative building in the Holosiivskyi district, and another drone struck a high-rise residential building in the Darnytskyi district, injuring a woman.
Zelensky also reported that the attacks damaged a building used as the residence of the Saudi Arabian ambassador, along with two kindergartens, two schools, warehouses and communication facilities.
