The Ukrainian Red Cross has reported that a Russian drone strike on the evening of 23 August caused a fire at one of its warehouses in Kherson. The blaze damaged or destroyed humanitarian supplies worth almost 28 million hryvnias.

What was lost

Among the destroyed stock were equipment and materials intended for preparations ahead of the autumn-winter season, along with reserves meant for rapid response to shelling aftermath — including materials for temporarily covering damaged homes.

The warehouse also stored medical supplies, blankets, hygiene kits, equipment for providing water and electricity, and other humanitarian aid.

The Ukrainian Red Cross shared the news along with photos from the scene on its social media accounts. The organization did not report any casualties in connection with the incident.
