Russian drone strikes on Sumy Oblast kill two, injure several others
A Russian drone attack on the Sumy community killed two people and injured several more, including in the neighboring Seredyna-Buda community. Multiple homes and outbuildings were also damaged.

A Russian drone strike on the Sumy hromada killed a 75-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman, while a 52-year-old woman was injured, according to Suspilne Sumy, a local branch of Ukraine's public broadcaster, citing the National Police of Ukraine.
A separate drone strike hit the Seredyna-Buda hromada, injuring a 45-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman.
Damage to infrastructure
Over the past 24 hours, Russian attacks damaged at least five houses, four outbuildings and around 30 garages. Warehouse and logistics facilities, grain storage sites, two lorries, a minibus and other vehicles were also affected.
The large-scale drone assault began late in the evening of 16 August, targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure in Sumy.
