The Russian military's manpower losses in its war of aggression against Ukraine have been higher than Ukraine's from the very start. The ratio, which has always been unfavorable to Russia, continues to widen, and this year it has reached eight to one.

According to available data, the number of Russian soldiers killed in this war is more than 28 times greater than Soviet losses in the war in Afghanistan. This figure is also 18 times higher than the number of killed in both Chechen wars and more than nine times higher than Russian and Soviet losses in all wars after World War II.

These numbers indicate an extreme depletion of human resources in the Russian army, which is growing despite already massive losses in previous conflicts.
