Intensive Russian attacks on Odesa region: 18 dead, 69 injured in a week; beaches partially open

Russian forces have been continuously shelling the Odesa region for over a week, carrying out about 300 airstrikes that killed 18 people and injured 69, including six children. Despite the attacks, 40 checked beach zones have been opened for residents' recreation and health improvement.

Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, announced that the region has been under constant Russian attacks with drones and various types of missiles for more than a week. In the last seven days alone, the attacks have killed 18 people and injured 69, including six children. These figures do not include July 19. The occupiers have carried out about 300 airstrikes during this period, or 50 to 60 per day.

Kiper also stated that Odesa's beaches are not open for tourism but for the health of residents, mainly military personnel, veterans, and their children, who are constantly stressed due to the war. Currently, 40 beach zones are open in the region; they have been checked, equipped with shelters, and are considered relatively safe.
