Russian Flags in Lyman: Disinformation, Not Real Gains

Scattered reports have emerged on social media showing Russian flags raised in Lyman, but these do not indicate new Russian positions in the front-line city. According to information from Euromaidan Press, these flags are so-called "Potemkin flags" — attempts to create an illusion of occupation while the city actually remains firmly in Ukrainian hands. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold their defensive lines despite enemy efforts to spread disinformation. The situation in Lyman remains tense, but the city has not been taken.
